      Frequently Asked
      Questions

+ - Where do you deliver and how long does it take?

Postage rates are for UK mainland. I aim to ship within 5 working days of receiving the order on two working day delivery services. Please contact me for lead times for bespoke/commissioned work. These vary based on workload.

+ - How are items packaged? Can they be gift wrapped

Due to the need to transport the items safely and due to the fragile material, it is important to wrap with a lot of bubble wrap and protection (where possible i will avoid bubble wrap for more environmentally friendly packaging), however they are wrapped with additional raffia ribbon and a handwritten note card can be added.

+ - How do I care for the ceramics?

All items are made of stoneware clay and high fired and so are dishwasher and microwave safe. All glazes are lead free and food safe unless stated as decorative use only. Please note most of the bases of my work are unglazed- unglazed clay will retain moisture so it is important the base is thoroughly dry before setting on wooden furniture.

+ - Do you have a shop I can visit?

No. But you can come to the studio and see what’s in stock by appointment only. Please call 07989851566.

      + - What about payment?

You can pay securely on site via the third party. Payment for bespoke commissions require a minimum 50% deposit in advance. The rest to be paid before dispatch. If you visit me at one of the market stalls or craft shows I can take card via sumup machine, cash or cheque.

+ - Do you take returns?

One considers all sales final. If there is a problem with your order please contact me as I would always want you to be happy with your purchase. All items are shaped and glazed by hand and are one offs. I hope you consider, as I do, the imperfections of shape, texture and glaze are what give the items character and beauty, and make them precious and unique and different to mass manufactured items. The joy of the chemistry that occurs in the glaze firing of the kiln means each item is entirely unique and impossible to exactly replicate. I will always aim to provide as many images as possible but colour may vary slightly due to lighting/screen colour resolution settings.
